MH-60 Constantly crashes to desktop
Anyone know how to read crash logs? i want to find out what crashes my sim with this heli constantly.
This latest crash involved me trying to start the craft cold and dark. worked fine until i pushed STARTER 1. Immediate crash to desktop, not even a freeze.
*Crash log redacted to reduce post length. Crash log did not provide any valuable details to the devs.*

Identifying CTDs can be very difficult. So far we have not had any reports of CTDs with MH60.
Id suggest the following:
- Reinstall the aircraft. May just be a due to a corrupted WASM Module.
- If the issue persists, update your graphics drivers. Another user had CTDs on VR due to an out of date driver.
- If issue persists, Enable FPS Counter. Send us a screenshot before a CTD. From there we can determine the strain on memory, CPU and GPU prior to CTD.

Aircraft has been reinstalled several times.

Graphics driver is Nvidia 580.88 and NVIDIA app reports its up to date.

Here is a video of the ctd: "For MILTECH: Repeated CTD'S. Sometimes clicking cockpit buttons, other times like this."

Here another CTD with no addons enabled except for MH60.
In this, you can see before the crash, FPSDisplay states "LIMITED BY MAIN THREAD".
These stutters only happen with this aircraft when i begin flying to a different area.I have a RTX 4080 Super, and RYZEN 7 9950X 3D. This rig should be able to handle your helicopter just fine. or so i think.

Could you please try with Multiplayer OFF? May be related to that.
Performance-wise, it looks fine regarding utilization and VRAM. Limited by Main Thread isn't a problem.

Thanks for workin with me on this.
Just tried two sessions, both CTD with multiplayer fully off and addons disabled.
I forgot to start up DISPLAYFPS. Do you need that?
https://medal.tv/games/microsoft-flight-simulator-2024/clips/kQWt33uhJk-KZ57jK?invite=cr-MSxmdmgsNDAyNzIyMTgw&v=60I forgot to mention earlier that this is on a fresh re-install of MSFS2024. No issues with any other plane or addon.

Update: Completely uninstalled the MH-60R through Contrail, re-intalled, then overwrote with the ULTRA-LOW version. Started up MSFS2024, and the game lasted around 30 minutes before crashing.
I was averaging 125fps the whole time, not a stutter. - Miltech Simulations @MiltechSimulations
Well, that's an interesting finding. Doesn't seem to crash right away, which begs the question: could it be hardware-related?
Do you happen to have any way of monitoring your GPU Temps?
Btw, this is the only CTD report we are currently tracking. It does seem to be particularly isolated to your config.
- H@heatsokay
I want to tend to say no to hardware issues; It would be a peculiar issue to have hardware issues that would only affect a single aircraft while all others dont experience this.
For temps, I have never seen my cpu go above 50C, and gpu not above 70C.
Certainly unfotunate that its only my PC thats having this issue though. Ill continue looking at more things on my end to try and resolve.

UPDATE: First possible golden clue. I can now fairly consistently replicate the "CTD".
"CTD" is in parentheses as i now suspect there are two separate types of freezing.
The first type of crash I cannot successfully replicate is when the game briefly freezes for 3 to 15 seconds and then crashes to my desktop with no errors popping up. This is sometimes caused after I click a button in the helicopter or switch views, but it happens at random and isnt always caused by any button click. There is also an observable CPU spike on the task manager CPU graph of 10-20% more than the normal work load before the game immediately freezes and CTD.
The second type, and the one i can replicate;
When clicking on my second monitor, then clicking back on MSFS2024, the game will have a short stutter when its refocused. If i click on the WINDOWS START icon on my second monitor desktop, then back to MSFS2024 2 or 3 times in a row, this brief stutter becomes a full, unrecoverable freeze. The audio briefly plays at 1/2 second intervals. I do not consider this a CTD as the game is still technically responding. I know this because when i move my cyclic, i can hear the rotor blades slapping through the audio stutters. Video never recovers.WHAT IVE TRIED:
-Disabling ALL game overlays from various applications
-Removed HDMI cables from other monitors except my main; THIS SOLVED THE SECOND CRASH TYPE (so far. First crash type still occurs
-Set Rolling Cache to 0Gb, and deleting all cash files from the root folder
